Hotel Director

About the role

The Hotel Director leads all Hotel Operations aboard a cruise vessel, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences while meeting company performance targets. This senior position oversees multiple departments and drives strategic initiatives across the onboard hospitality portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day operations of Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Finance, Entertainment, IT & Data Systems, Cruise Sales and other revenue‑generating areas.
• Develop and execute business plans, resource allocation, and workforce strategies to achieve KPI targets.
• Maintain high standards of personalized service, quality control, and guest satisfaction evaluation.
• Lead a culturally diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align hotel operations with overall cruise line objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of senior leadership experience in a luxury (4/5*) hotel or cruise industry.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making and interpersonal abilities.
• Global perspective with experience in diverse, dynamic environments.
• In‑depth knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, workforce planning and production methods.
• Understanding of personalized service standards, guest satisfaction metrics and HR policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field (or equivalent experience).

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with computer software applications.
