Hotel Director

About the role

The Hotel Director leads all Hotel Operations aboard the vessel, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences while meeting the company’s financial and performance targets. Reporting to senior management, the role oversees multiple departments including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Finance, Entertainment, IT & Data Systems, Cruise Sales and other revenue‑generating areas.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day operations of all Hotel departments, ensuring high standards of service and compliance.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve KPI targets and revenue goals.
• Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for the Hotel Operations division.
• Lead a culturally diverse team, fostering collaboration across departments.
• Oversee guest satisfaction initiatives and quality service standards.
• Coordinate with IT and data systems to optimize operational efficiency.
• Drive talent development, performance management and succession planning.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of senior leadership experience in a luxury (4‑ or 5‑star) hotel or cruise environment.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Global perspective with experience managing multicultural teams.
• Knowledge of business planning, resource allocation and workforce management.
• Understanding of personalized service delivery and guest satisfaction measurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field (preferred) or equivalent progressive experience.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with standard computer software.
