HR Assistant (Maternity Cover) – Madrid

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Assistant to join our Madrid office on a fixed‑term basis covering maternity leave. You will become part of a small, dynamic HR team supporting a fast‑growing gaming services company.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external HR enquiries, providing timely and proactive responses.
• Coordinate payroll activities with the internal payroll team, ensuring accurate processing of starters, leavers and changes.
• Deliver high‑quality HR administration and query support in line with service level agreements.
• Maintain and improve HR systems and workflows, ensuring data accuracy and minimizing duplication.
• Manage MyHR and Tensor platforms, keeping employee records up to date.
• Support social events, wellbeing, inclusion and diversity initiatives.
• Provide confidential employment‑relations advice, handling policy queries and escalations.
• Conduct monthly legal reviews, advise on policy changes and liaise with external counsel.
• Collaborate with the General Manager on health‑and‑safety matters.
• Prepare offer letters and employment contracts, and maintain electronic HR files.

Required profile

• Demonstrates Universally Speaking values, treating employees as adults, individuals and customers.
• Understands business goals and can support managers and employees effectively.
• Proactive, confidential and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with HR information systems, specifically MyHR and Tensor.
