HR Business Partner – Spain & Middle East/Africa

About the role

UL Solutions is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support managers and employees across Spain, the Middle East and Africa. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Field HR, you will act as the primary local HR advisor, helping to implement people strategies, develop talent and improve retention.

Key responsibilities

• Execute enterprise people strategies in collaboration with HR functions and drive local adoption.
• Partner with site leaders to support business change, diversity & inclusion, employee engagement and retention.
• Coach local managers on employee‑relations matters and provide responsive HR solutions.
• Interpret and apply local employment law, market trends and advise global HR partners.
• Manage people processes such as salary planning, talent development, performance reviews and exit management using workforce analytics.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, ensure compliance and support audit programmes.
• Identify opportunities to create or revise HR policies and implement local programmes aligned with organisational goals.
• Support HR projects and other duties as directed.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of progressive HR experience, including prior experience as an HR Business Partner.
• Strong communication, presentation and consultative client‑service skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage a sizable internal customer base.
• Comprehensive knowledge of labour law and market conditions affecting talent attraction and retention.
