In‑Room Dining Waiter/Waitress

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter/Waitress to join the In‑Room Dining team at SLS Barcelona. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will deliver high‑quality food and beverage service directly to guest rooms, creating memorable experiences for our luxury hotel guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks and meals according to guest specifications, ensuring presentation and quality standards.
• Deliver orders to guest rooms promptly, set up trays, trolleys and amenities, and collect used equipment while maintaining cleanliness.
• Describe menu and drink selections with vivid, accurate details about origin, taste and preparation.
• Stock and manage inventory for the in‑room dining outlet, ensuring supplies are always available.
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the service area and adhere to departmental policies and service standards.
• Assist with ad‑hoc duties across other outlets such as bar, terrace or additional room service requests.
• Handle cash and credit‑card payments, accurately close guest checks and process transactions.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond to dissatisfaction promptly and provide personalized recommendations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel room service or a similar hospitality environment.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, service‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting and collaborate with kitchen and restaurant teams.
• Attention to detail, cleanliness and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

• Cash handling and basic point‑of‑sale transaction processing.
