About the role

FTI Consulting is a global expert firm advising organizations on crisis and transformation, offering economic, financial, valuation and accountancy advice in disputes and transactions. Its Economic & Financial Consulting practice covers dispute resolution (litigation and arbitration) and valuation and financial advisory. This internship is primarily based in Madrid, with the chance to work on international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform industry research and prepare detailed economic analysis and financial modelling.
• Prepare and review financial models using Excel and databases such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ.
• Analyse financial, accounting and commercial information to assess and quantify damages in complex disputes.
• Research companies, industries and markets relevant to each project.
• Carry out financial reviews of companies, including margin analysis, EBITDA normalisation, working capital and cash flow assessment.
• Prepare supporting materials for litigation, valuation and financial due diligence reports.
• Summarise work in emails or memos and contribute to the quality of client deliverables.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a full-time bachelor's degree, graduating between June 2026 and December 2027.
• Able to start a 6-month internship in January 2027 and commit 40 hours per week.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
• Preferred: a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or another analytical discipline; previous corporate finance or valuation experience is not required.
