Internal Medical Translator - English to Korean

About the role

IQVIA Language Solutions, a language solutions provider for the life sciences industry, is looking for an Internal Medical Translator (English to Korean) to work from home within the EMEA region. The role is home-based and focuses on translating written material while preserving the original structure, style and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Linguistically and culturally interpret written material so that the structure and style of the original are kept while the ideas and facts remain accurate.
• Research industry-specific terminology and maintain a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Build strong relationships with the IQVIA Translations Services team and help update or improve glossaries, Translation Memories, Style Guides and other internal assets.
• Identify gaps in instructions or external issues that could affect client service.
• Proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy.

Required profile

• Korean native speaker with fluent English.
• At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents.
• A tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics with at least 3 years of translation experience, or no degree with at least 5 years of translation experience.
• Ability to research industry-specific terminology and solve problems with difficult content.

Required skills

• Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools.
• Fluency in the source language(s).
