International Corporate Banking Graduate Programme 2027

About the role

Barclays is recruiting for its International Corporate Banking Graduate Programme in Madrid, open to recent or soon-to-be graduates. The programme offers immersive experiences, training and support from a line manager and a dedicated talent coach, with a focus on entrepreneurial skills within the bank's fast-growing division. The entry and upper salary range is EUR 36,600 to EUR 50,000.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior bankers in managing client relationships, answering queries, supporting onboarding and contributing to proposals for cash management, trade finance and lending solutions.
• Work with senior bankers to identify and manage opportunities in Global Treasury Coverage, preparing meeting materials and researching sector themes.
• Support the end-to-end deal process, including credit analysis, financial modelling, internal committees and documentation for debt facilities and treasury solutions.
• Identify new products and services, contribute to business cases and help launch initiatives aligned with sustainability and growth objectives.
• Embed risk controls, adhere to policies and escalate breaches appropriately.
• Take part in structured learning programmes on credit skills, client management and treasury coverage products.

Required profile

• Degree or expected degree in any area; ideally finance and business.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Motivated, curious, proactive and a good communicator, with resourcefulness, teamwork and an entrepreneurial spirit.
