IT Business Analyst – Requirements Engineer

About the role

As a Requirements Engineer at Allianz Technology you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You will work in agile, cross‑functional teams to design and deliver IT solutions that support Allianz’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and document functional and non‑functional requirements through workshops, interviews and stakeholder sessions.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, developers and testers in Scrum, Kanban or SAFe environments.
• Model business processes and system behaviour using UML, BPMN or similar notations.
• Validate and prioritise requirements with stakeholders, ensuring traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support the development team during implementation and clarify requirements during sprints, including contribution to test case definition and user acceptance testing.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of professional experience as a Requirements Engineer, Business Analyst or a comparable role, preferably in IT or financial services.
• Solid knowledge of requirements‑engineering techniques; IREB CPRE Foundation Level certification is a plus.
• Practical experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
