IT Business Partner for Sales

About the role

Oetiker, a global manufacturer of connecting solutions, is looking for an IT Business Partner for Sales in its El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) office. The role is the key interface between Sales and IT, ensuring that sales processes, systems and integrations support business growth, operational efficiency and governance in a global industrial environment. It combines strong SAP SD knowledge, integration awareness (EDI) and IT leadership with a deep understanding of sales and commercial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as IT Business Partner for Sales-related functions, linking business units and IT at senior/medium business level
• Translate business requirements into clear IT solutions and delivery roadmaps
• Own and continuously improve Sales IT services, focusing on SAP SD
• Align global IT standards with local and regional business needs
• Manage demand intake, prioritization and execution for Sales initiatives
• Coordinate internal IT teams and external vendors
• Ensure system stability, scalability and compliance with IT governance
• Drive continuous improvement of Order-to-Cash processes and support Sales digitalization and automation initiatives
• Act as escalation point for critical Sales-related incidents

Required profile

• 8-15 years of experience in IT roles supporting Sales or Commercial functions
• Proven background as IT Business Partner, IT Manager or Senior SAP SD Consultant
• Experience in international, multi-site organizations and willingness to travel to and within the Americas, Asia and Europe
• Advanced English is mandatory; further languages are a plus
• Ideal candidate: business-oriented, strong communicator, able to challenge business and IT constructively, pragmatic and delivery-focused

Required skills

• Solid, hands-on knowledge of SAP SD (S/4HANA preferred)
• Understanding of system integrations; EDI experience is a plus
• Knowledge of ITIL fundamentals (incident, problem, change management)
• IT project management (waterfall and/or agile)
• Ability to manage external service providers and system integrators
