IT Helpdesk Technician

About the role

As an IT Helpdesk Technician at Sardine, you will keep the global, remote‑first team productive and secure by handling day‑to‑day IT operations, device management, and technical support. The role bridges IT, Security, and People teams to deliver a seamless employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support core IT systems such as Google Workspace and JAMF device management.
• Execute onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware provisioning, computer setups, and access management.
• Support VPNs, password managers, and endpoint security, ensuring devices are patched, compliant, and functional.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for daily IT issues, troubleshooting tickets via Slack, email, and video.
• Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories and help administer collaboration tools like Slack, GitHub, and Asana.
• Keep internal system documentation and knowledge‑base articles up to date for both IT staff and end‑users.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in IT operations, helpdesk, or technical support, preferably in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong proficiency with macOS, basic network troubleshooting, and hardware support.
• Hands‑on experience administering Google Workspace and familiarity with MDM workflows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical concepts with empathy.
• Self‑starter who can efficiently prioritize a daily ticket queue.
