IT Support Assistant – Barcelona

About the role
We are looking for an IT Support Assistant to join our Barcelona office and work closely with a global IT team. You will be the first point of contact for employees’ technical needs, helping to keep our local infrastructure running smoothly while delivering excellent internal service.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first‑line technical assistance to employees, both on‑site and remotely.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade hardware and peripheral equipment.
- Install and configure operating systems and resolve software issues.
- Handle user onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including asset allocation.
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Exchange at a basic level (user, group, mailbox management).
- Manage Jira tickets and maintain incident logs in internal systems.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and support the office IT network.
- Maintain the local asset inventory using internal tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or a high‑school diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong customer‑oriented mindset, patience and problem‑solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills in English (minimum B2); Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Legal authorization to work in Spain and residence in the country.
Required skills
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange administration.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, preferably Jira.
- Basic network troubleshooting and OS installation skills.
- Asset inventory management.
