IT System Engineer – Tech Support Specialist

About the role

Parser is looking for an experienced IT System Engineer to join its Barcelona office as a Tech Support Service Specialist. You will own the design, automation and maintenance of critical IT services that support both internal teams and client projects, ensuring high availability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop workflows to automate business processes.
• Identify and implement improvements to software, systems and infrastructure.
• Design and enforce IT policies, best‑practice guides and security standards.
• Create training programs and workshops for internal staff.
• Conduct regular system audits and produce operation reports for senior leadership.
• Participate in major IT projects such as system updates, upgrades, migrations, outages and new implementations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of IT system administration experience.
• Minimum 5 years of support and infrastructure experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with peers and senior leaders.

Required skills

• Advanced administration of macOS, Linux and Windows 10.
• GSuite, Azure and Slack administration.
• Intermediate networking knowledge.
• Scripting with Bash and PowerShell.
• ITIL or equivalent best‑practice frameworks.
• Cloud computing concepts and enterprise backup/recovery procedures.
• System performance monitoring and testing.
