Jefe/a de Cocina – Playa Blanca

About the role

The Head Chef will lead the kitchen operations at Barceló Playa Blanca, ensuring high‑quality food preparation for both all‑inclusive and à la carte services. Reporting to hotel management, you will be responsible for menu creation, cost control and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, direct and coordinate the work of kitchen staff.
• Supervise cleanliness, maintenance of utensils and proper use of equipment.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Control costs, stock, orders and purchases.
• Develop menus for all‑inclusive and à la carte offerings.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure buffet quality meets company standards.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Adopt new kitchen technologies as needed.

Required profile

• Higher‑level vocational training in Kitchen Management (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Dirección de Cocina).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a head chef.
• High proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of Spanish and international cuisine is valued.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (user level).
