Jefe/a de Partida – Cocina en Barceló Margaritas

About the role

The Head of a Kitchen Station (Jefe/a de Partida) at Barceló Margaritas will lead the preparation and service of a specific culinary line. You will ensure efficient organization, high‑quality dishes and strict compliance with food‑safety standards in a dynamic hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise raw material and utensil preparation, allocate tasks for optimal workflow.
• Supervise and develop recipes according to menu cycles and food‑handling best practices.
• Direct and monitor the work of assistants and cooks within the station.
• Oversee cleaning, storage and replenishment of food items for the station.
• Ensure hygienic‑sanitary records and controls are completed accurately.
• Assist with basic receiving, internal storage and stock replenishment following established procedures.

Required profile

• Higher‑level culinary or hospitality training (e.g., Superior Cycle in Kitchen Management, Tourism degree).
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar kitchen‑station leadership role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Strong sensory memory, creativity and manual dexterity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork orientation, problem‑solving ability and decision‑making capacity.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) knowledge.
• Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
