Jefe/a de Partida – Hotel Illetas Albatros

About the role

The Hotel Barceló Illetas Albatros is looking for a Jefe/a de Partida to lead one of its kitchen stations. You will be responsible for organising the preparation of raw materials, supervising recipe development and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the preparation of the station (raw materials, supplies) and allocate tasks for efficient workflow.
• Supervise and develop recipes based on menu cycles and good food‑handling practices.
• Direct, organise and supervise assistants and cooks in the preparation of dishes.
• Oversee cleaning, preservation and restocking of food items within the station.
• Ensure hygiene‑sanitary records and controls are correctly applied.
• Collaborate in basic receiving, storage and internal replenishment following established standards.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training in Kitchen Management and/or Hospitality, or a degree in Tourism.
• Formal training in HACCP (APPCC) and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Knowledge of office software and kitchen equipment is valued.
• Strong taste and smell memory, creativity and manual dexterity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team‑oriented, organized and capable of problem‑solving and decision‑making.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) knowledge.
• Operation of kitchen machinery and utensils.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
