Jefe/a de Partida – Hotel Resort

About the role

The Hotel Barceló Lanzarote Playa is seeking a motivated Jefe/a de Partida to lead a kitchen section. You will coordinate the preparation of raw materials, supervise recipe execution, and ensure high standards of food safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the preparation of ingredients and allocate tasks for efficient workflow.
• Supervise and develop recipes according to menu cycles and food‑handling best practices.
• Direct and oversee assistants and cooks in the preparation of dishes for the assigned section.
• Monitor cleaning, storage, and replenishment of food items.
• Ensure hygienic‑sanitary records and controls are completed accurately.
• Assist with basic receiving, storage, and internal stock replenishment following established procedures.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training in Culinary Management, Hospitality, or Tourism.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar kitchen leadership role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Good taste and olfactory memory, creativity, and manual dexterity.
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication ability, teamwork, planning and problem‑solving.

Required skills

• APPCC (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) knowledge.
• Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
