Jefe/a de Partida – Occidental Cala Viñas

About the role

The Jefe/a de Partida will lead the kitchen station at Occidental Cala Viñas, ensuring efficient preparation, high culinary standards, and strict food safety compliance within a dynamic hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the preparation of the station, managing raw materials, supplies and task distribution.
• Supervise and develop recipes based on menu cycles and best food‑handling practices to meet guest expectations.
• Direct, organise and oversee assistants and cooks in the preparation of dishes.
• Control cleaning, preservation and replenishment of food items in the station.
• Maintain hygienic‑sanitary records and ensure all required controls are applied.
• Assist with receiving, storage and internal replenishment operations following established standards.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training in Kitchen Management and/or Hospitality, or a degree in Tourism with HACCP training.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar supervisory kitchen role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Knowledge of office software and kitchen equipment, products and utensils.
• Strong gustatory and olfactory memory, creativity and manual dexterity.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and team‑working abilities.
• Proven planning, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
