Jigs & Tools Engineer – Illescas Plant (A350)

About the role

As a Jigs & Tools Engineer at the Illescas plant, you will design, specify and industrialise tooling solutions for Airbus A350 programmes. You will work closely with manufacturing, operations, safety, maintenance and quality teams to deliver robust, high‑performance assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and specify jigs and tools according to requirements from engineering, operations, H&S, ergonomics and quality.
• Support finance by preparing CapEx and OpEx dossiers and contribute to purchasing phases.
• Lead the industrialisation process – creation, development, modification and final hand‑over to operations.
• Integrate solutions within the industrial system using defined KPIs and acceptance procedures.
• Collaborate with R&D to embed mature technologies, including 3D‑printing, into future tooling concepts.
• Incorporate maintenance feedback into work specifications and support root‑cause analysis of non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing technologies for composite aerostructures.
• Proven ability to design and deliver tooling for composite materials, preferably carbon‑fiber and aircraft‑assembly tools.
• Strong project‑management experience with external suppliers.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
