Junior Business Development Specialist – Remote (Spain/UK/Portugal)

About the role

Shift4 is looking for a proactive Junior Business Development Specialist to join its growing team. You will work remotely or in a hybrid setting across Spain, the UK or Portugal, helping to expand the company’s footprint in the payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor for assigned accounts, building strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
• Manage and optimise operational processes for partners and merchants using Shift4 solutions.
• Drive sales and business expansion initiatives, focusing on partner collaborations and e‑commerce verticals.
• Generate new business opportunities, lead negotiations and close commercial agreements.
• Oversee onboarding and integration of new clients, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions.
• Collaborate with business development colleagues on enterprise account challenges and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of sales or business development experience in online acquiring or payment services.
• Strong understanding of credit‑card acquisition and the broader online payments landscape.
• Experience in a global or multinational environment.
• Analytical mindset with commercial acumen and independent decision‑making ability.
• Self‑starter with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
