Junior Energy Engineer

About the role

Group-IPS delivers engineering, EPCM and project management services for industrial companies across Europe and beyond, in sectors such as Food & Beverage, Life Sciences, Chemicals and Manufacturing. It is looking for a Process Engineer to join its Madrid team and support industrial projects focused on energy systems, industrial utilities and process optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Work on industrial utilities: steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Carry out energy efficiency and sustainability studies, energy audits and energy consumption analysis
• Contribute to process and utility optimization, process calculations and engineering studies
• Support decarbonization and carbon reduction initiatives, and prepare technical documentation and feasibility studies
• Visit sites and carry out technical assessments
• Collaborate with mechanical, process and project engineers on EPCM projects from engineering studies through project execution

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Energy Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience in process engineering, industrial utilities, energy systems or industrial engineering projects
• Experience on industrial plants in Food & Beverage, Chemicals, Life Sciences or Manufacturing
• Fluent English and Spanish; other languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel and to work onsite with industrial clients

• Knowledge of industrial utilities, thermal systems and energy efficiency
• Process calculations and energy system studies
