Junior Environmental Consultant – EDD & ESG

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Environmental Consultant to join Gleeds’ Advisory Team, delivering Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) and ESG services for construction and real‑estate projects across Spain and Portugal. The role supports sustainability assessments, climate risk analysis and carbon reporting for a range of assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct environmental and ESG due diligence, including climate risk, carbon footprint and biodiversity assessments.
• Perform on‑site audits of properties to identify liabilities and sustainability risks.
• Compile and review environmental data, inventories and relevant legislation (European, national and regional).
• Prepare clear, rigorous technical reports in English for clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and other consultants to deliver integrated sustainability solutions.
• Maintain contacts with environmental authorities when required.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in environmental consulting, due diligence or related fields.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation (waste, chemicals, contaminated land, wastewater).
• Familiarity with sustainability topics such as carbon accounting, LCA and green building certifications.
• Strong analytical and technical writing abilities.
• Willingness to travel across Spain and Portugal for site visits.
