About the Role
Join a dynamic, international legal team as a Junior Legal Counsel, playing a key role in supporting our expansion across Europe and Latin America. You will provide essential legal guidance in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance across diverse jurisdictions including Spain, Portugal, Brazil, and Mexico.
Main Responsibilities
- Marketing & Consumer Law: Review marketing materials, advertisements, landing pages, T&Cs, and privacy policies to ensure compliance with advertising standards, consumer protection, and e-privacy regulations.
- Contract Management: Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial and supplier agreements, including advertising contracts, outsourcing agreements, and distribution deals under Spanish, Portuguese, or Brazilian law.
- Data Protection: Act as a key advisor on data privacy matters, managing data subject access requests (DSARs), drafting DPIAs and LIAs, and ensuring robust consent management frameworks.
- Risk Mitigation & Liaison: Identify legal risks in new product designs and work closely with operational teams to implement compliant practices, while managing consumer claims and coordinating with regulatory authorities in the EU and LATAM.
Candidate Profile
- 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a legal role.
- Native Spanish speaker with full legal qualification in Spain.
- Proven experience in marketing/product legal review and consumer inquiry management.
- Strong ability to work within a multicultural, remote-friendly international team.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Consumer Protection and Advertising Law.
- Proficiency in Data Protection (GDPR and LATAM regulations).
- Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills (Commercial & Supplier contracts).
- Ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional legal frameworks (Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico).
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
