Junior Privacy Counsel – Data Protection

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Privacy Counsel to join the Global Delivery Hero Data Protection Team at Glovo’s Barcelona office. In this role you will support the global legal, governance and assurance function by providing proactive privacy advice that aligns business initiatives with GDPR and other data‑protection regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on data‑protection matters under global frameworks such as the GDPR.
• Draft, negotiate and review data‑processing agreements, intra‑group transfer agreements and other privacy contracts.
• Conduct privacy due‑diligence for third‑party service providers and support M&A privacy assessments.
• Assist with data‑mapping, documentation of processing activities and privacy impact assessments.
• Develop, implement and maintain global privacy policies, notices and internal procedures.
• Support communications to senior management, supervisory boards and risk committees.
• Perform privacy maturity audits and help coordinate remediation efforts.
• Manage investigations or fine‑related proceedings with data‑protection authorities and devise mitigation plans.
• Monitor AI governance developments and contribute to responsible AI frameworks.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or 0‑1 year experience in data‑protection or privacy law.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and other relevant privacy regulations.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating data‑processing agreements.
• Knowledge of privacy due‑diligence and impact‑assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with AI governance and emerging privacy regulations.
