Key Account Manager – Spain & Portugal (Consumer Products)

About the role

Based in Madrid, the Key Account Manager will act as the main liaison between L’Oréal’s Consumer Products Division and its most strategic hard‑discount retail partners across Spain and Portugal. Reporting to the Business Unit Director, the role is responsible for driving sustainable growth through joint business planning and commercial negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with L’Oréal and key‑account objectives to strengthen market leadership in the Iberian region.
• Lead annual commercial negotiations and range reviews with hard‑discount partners, ensuring optimal outcomes and strong collaborative relationships.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, manage the account P&L and achieve targets for turnover, market share and profit.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with Supply Chain, Category Management, Finance and Marketing to ensure seamless execution of account strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management with a strong commercial mindset and P&L responsibility.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to influence stakeholders.
• High analytical capability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial attitude focused on delivering ambitious results.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
