Kitchen Assistant (Full-time, Madrid)

About the role

The Kitchen Assistant will join the culinary team at Restaurante El Lucero in Madrid, supporting daily food preparation and ensuring a clean, organized workspace. This full-time, on-site position offers the chance to develop practical kitchen skills in a busy restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with basic cooking tasks.
• Organise workstations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Wash, store and sanitize kitchen equipment.
• Support stock rotation, inventory organization and stock-taking.
• Assist with plating dishes and coordinate with front-of-house staff.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

Required profile

• Strong interest in food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food-safety practices.
• Understanding of restaurant food-and-beverage operations.
• Customer-service awareness and ability to support guest experience.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Madrid, follow instructions and collaborate with a diverse team.
• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Basic Spanish or willingness to learn.
