Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our DevOps function for a global digital marketing agency. The role combines technical leadership, client interaction, and cross‑regional team coordination, with a focus on delivering reliable, scalable cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure for major client projects.
• Create, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible or similar tools.
• Administer Linux‑based systems, web and application servers.
• Monitor performance and reliability with observability tools and lead incident response.
• Visit the Barcelona office 1–2 times per week for client workshops and technical alignment.
• Communicate directly with clients, presenting technical decisions in clear terms.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate DevOps teams across APAC, the US and Europe.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Leadership mindset with experience managing or mentoring teams.
• Entrepreneurial attitude suited to a fast‑moving, startup‑like environment.
• Fluent English; Spanish a plus.
