Lead Full Stack Engineer (Node.js, React/Vue & AI Solutions)

About the role

CoverGo is a global no-code insurance platform for health, life and property & casualty insurance, working with enterprise clients such as AXA and Bupa. As Lead Full Stack Engineer you will drive the technical vision, strategy and execution of its enterprise-grade SaaS platform, while leading a team of engineers, mentoring peers and championing AI-driven capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of the SaaS platform, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance.
• Mentor a team of Full Stack Engineers through coaching, feedback and knowledge sharing.
• Define the technical strategy for AI integration, working with product and data teams to deliver AI-powered features.
• Evaluate AI models, frameworks and APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google AI) and oversee AI proof-of-concept development.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product managers, designers and stakeholders.
• Set architectural decisions, coding standards and best practices, and conduct code reviews.
• Promote testing methodologies and automation, and proactively address technical debt and scalability bottlenecks.
• Champion security and compliance, and stay up to date with development trends.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a technical role, with a track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams on complex SaaS applications.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Solid experience building and deploying AI-driven applications using APIs and ML models, and a strong understanding of NLP, recommendation engines, chatbots or intelligent automation.
• Strong cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects and passion for continuous learning.

Required skills

• Node.js, Vue.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker and TypeScript.
• Test-Driven Development, unit, integration and functional testing, and testing frameworks and automation.
• Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Web security best practices and container technologies.
• Nest.js experience is a plus.
