Job description

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for a Lead Product Engineer to shape and build the products powering its pricing systems. The role is hybrid, roughly 50% product leadership and 50% hands-on engineering, and bridges the analytical world (demand signals, ML models, experiments in the data warehouse) and the transactional world (prices, checkout and the core backend). You will work with Data Science, Data Engineering, Core Backend and Partner teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap: gather needs from growth partners and stakeholders, prioritise them and say no when it matters.
  • Translate business goals into measurable product objectives and write design docs and decision records.
  • Turn manual, engineer-dependent processes into self-serve product capabilities.
  • Design and build the bridge between offline models and online prices, with the right freshness, fallbacks and auditability.
  • Diagnose complex implementation challenges, reproduce failures and test hypotheses.
  • Write production code across backend services and data pipelines, and review others' work with a high bar.
  • Balance scope, speed and quality, and make trade-offs to protect delivery.
  • Lead the product direction of the Pricing vertical and partner with engineering leadership.

Required profile

  • 8+ years building and running production systems, with a track record of owning products end to end.
  • Experience bridging data and backend teams, bringing data outputs into transactional systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing and analysing online experiments, with a healthy scepticism of results that look too good.
  • Product judgement: defines success before building and is comfortable cutting scope or killing ideas.
  • Excellent communication in English, with technical and business audiences, in writing and in person.
  • Experience leading product direction and influencing teams and stakeholders you do not directly manage.
  • Option to come into the office in Madrid a couple of times a week.

Required skills

  • Backend engineering, ideally in Python (Django, FastAPI or similar), PostgreSQL and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
  • Advanced SQL, a modern warehouse (Snowflake or similar) and orchestrated pipelines.
  • Nice to have: pricing, revenue management or dynamic pricing background; experimentation platforms (Statsig, Optimizely, GrowthBook); dbt, Airflow or similar.

What we offer

  • Flexible schedule and bonus.
  • Stock options.
  • 40% discount on all Fever events and experiences.
  • Health insurance from day 1 and English or Spanish lessons.
  • Wellhub membership and Cobee (tax-free allowance on restaurants and transport).
  • Possibility to receive part of your salary in advance via Payflow.
