Legal Analyst – Regulatory Research (Barcelona)

About the role

Join Tamarind Intelligence as a Legal Analyst and support the research and analysis of regulatory frameworks across the tobacco‑alternative and cannabis markets. You will work in a fast‑moving environment, helping clients navigate public‑health policy debates and emerging legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, collect and maintain regulatory and legal data in internal databases.
• Conduct desk research to track changes in legislation, policies and industry practices.
• Engage with regulators, industry experts and policymakers to gather insights and legal interpretations.
• Analyse legal frameworks, regulatory proposals and market impacts to inform client strategy.
• Produce clear reports and briefings on regulatory developments for specific countries, sectors or product categories.
• Forecast short‑ and long‑term regulatory trends across targeted jurisdictions.

Required profile

• High proficiency in English; additional languages (especially Northern/Eastern European or Asian) are a strong advantage.
• Degree in Law or Political Science (or near completion); familiarity with the EU legal system is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and research abilities, capable of structuring complex problems and evaluating findings critically.
• Proactive, resourceful and tenacious approach to new challenges.
