Legal Associate – One Unilever Europe

About the role

Join Unilever’s Legal Powerhouse in Barcelona as a Legal Associate supporting the One Unilever Europe market. You will provide legal research, analysis and operational support to ensure contracts and legal processes are accurate, compliant and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis for One Unilever Europe business units.
• Maintain accurate records, file management and submission of documents to official entities.
• Support the administration of contracts, including drafting, reviewing and updating templates.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with third‑party suppliers, influencing the use of Unilever standard templates.
• Ensure contract risk schedules are included and managed appropriately.
• Collaborate with the One Unilever Europe legal team to use up‑to‑date clauses, templates and schedules.
• Recommend improvements to the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool and drive process re‑engineering.
• Monitor changes to standard clauses, flag deviations and manage governance/compliance risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve contract processes and implement enhancements.
• Support stakeholder relationships across Legal, Procurement, Finance, Digital Marketing, HR and Data Protection.

Required profile

• Legal background with experience in contract administration and governance.
• Proven ability to conduct legal research and provide analytical support.
• Experience negotiating contract terms and managing supplier risk.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools and process improvement.
