Legal Compliance Specialist

About the role

Heymondo is looking for a detail‑oriented Legal & Compliance Specialist to support its rapid international expansion. Reporting to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, you will help shape and monitor the compliance programme across a fast‑growing insurtech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, insurers, partners and third‑party platforms.
• Provide data‑protection and privacy support, including risk assessments, incident handling and breach response.
• Monitor regulatory developments and drive practical implementation across all business units.
• Implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures, risk maps, controls, training and documentation.
• Review marketing, advertising and influencer collaborations from a legal and compliance perspective.
• Assist with complex customer complaints, supervisory authority proceedings and consumer‑rights matters.
• Support insurance distribution, distance contracting, e‑commerce and customer‑service regulations.
• Coordinate corporate governance tasks such as powers of attorney, resolutions and public deeds.
• Collaborate on technology‑related issues, including AI, cybersecurity, DORA and ISO 27001, working with technical teams and external advisors.
• Manage external law‑firm engagements and ensure efficient legal processes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of insurance regulation, data‑protection law and commercial contracting.
• Proactive, solution‑driven attitude with the ability to work across multiple functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
