Legal Counsel – Intellectual Property

About the role

Revolut is seeking a forward‑thinking Legal Counsel to lead its global intellectual property (IP) matters. You will join a small, high‑impact legal team and work closely with product, engineering and commercial teams to protect the company’s innovations while enabling rapid product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and manage Revolut’s worldwide IP portfolio through proactive registrations and ongoing maintenance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks from IP infringement claims, including defensive strategies and litigation support.
• Provide legal guidance to business units worldwide, ensuring products meet IP clearance requirements before launch.
• Handle pre‑dispute matters and manage active IP litigation in the UK and other jurisdictions.
• Advise on novel technologies and new‑to‑market products, crafting creative legal solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to find compliant “pathways to yes” rather than acting as a blocker.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience practising intellectual property law, including registration, infringement and defensive work.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple jurisdictions, particularly the UK and other global markets.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with a track record of navigating legal obstacles to achieve business objectives.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced technology environment and handling unprecedented product features.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
