Legal Counsel Intern – Spain & Portugal

About the role

Qonto is looking for a Legal Counsel Intern to support its operations in Spain and Portugal. Working from the Paris office (with the possibility to be based in Barcelona), you will assist the Legal Counsel for Spain and Portugal in delivering practical, risk‑focused advice across commercial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and improve contractual documentation for new products such as Pay Later and Tap to Pay.
• Support legal work for marketing campaigns, partnerships and procurement in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
• Research Spanish and Portuguese legal and regulatory topics and provide clear summaries for internal teams.
• Coordinate with external law firms and internal stakeholders on contracts, claims, filings and follow‑ups.
• Assist product launches to ensure compliance with banking and consumer‑protection rules.
• Help manage customer claims and contribute to pre‑litigation or litigation analysis when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law obtained in Spain or Portugal; exposure to both legal systems is a plus.
• Strong foundation in commercial and regulatory law.
• Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, with good English communication skills.
• Interest in fintech and ability to work in a fast‑growing environment.
