Legal Counsel – IT & Commercial Law (Spain)

About the role

As a member of the Allianz Technology Group Legal Department, you will provide business‑oriented legal advice to the Spanish branch, focusing on IT and commercial law. You will safeguard the company’s interests, ensure regulatory compliance and support senior management on a wide range of legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to all management levels and staff across the branch.
• Monitor, research and address emerging legal issues.
• Draft and negotiate IT contracts (software licences, SaaS, outsourcing, technology partnerships) and commercial service agreements with third parties and intragroup entities.
• Support compliance with regulations such as NIS2, DORA, AI Act and internal governance policies.
• Develop risk‑mitigation measures and raise awareness of legal obligations.
• Collaborate with the global Allianz Technology legal community to improve practices and procedures.
• Work in cross‑functional teams and conduct internal trainings.
• Oversee external counsel and steer legal projects as needed.
• Track national and international legislative developments and advise on implementation steps.

Required profile

• Admission to the Spanish bar and a Master’s degree in Spanish law or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience as an in‑house attorney or at an international law firm, focusing on IT, commercial or contract law.
• Excellent Spanish and English language skills; Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication abilities, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to work independently, provide trusted advice to local management and pay close attention to detail.
