Legal Counsel – Private Markets

About the role

Revolut is seeking a Legal Counsel to lead the development of its private‑markets investment offering. You will shape the legal framework for new alternative‑asset products, working closely with commercial teams and senior leadership to bring illiquid assets to a broad customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Structure and oversee complex investment vehicles such as AIFs, ELTIFs, UCITS, SPVs and PCCs.
• Lead legal due diligence on private‑market transactions, manage deal execution and review organisational documents.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory regimes including AIFMD, MiFID II, MiFIR, EMIR and PRIIPs.
• Partner with the GM of Alternatives and commercial teams to scope, design and launch new investment features.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with alternative‑investment products.
• Provide clear, actionable legal advice that balances commercial objectives with regulatory constraints.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in law with strong academic record.
• 5+ years of experience in wealth, trading, investment services or asset‑management environments.
• Background as a private‑practice lawyer at a top law firm.
• Proven expertise advising on MiFID II, MiFIR, EMIR, PRIIPs, UCITS and related contractual frameworks.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AIFMD, MiFID II, MiFIR, EMIR and PRIIPs regulations.
• Experience in structuring alternative‑investment vehicles (AIFs, ELTIFs, UCITS, SPVs, PCCs).
• Strong legal drafting and negotiation abilities.
