Lobby Ambassador Intern

About the role

SLS Barcelona, a five-star urban resort in the Port Forum waterfront district, is looking for a Lobby Ambassador Intern. Working under the guidance of the Front Office and Guest Experience teams, the intern acts as a key point of contact in the lobby, delivering exceptional guest service from arrival to departure and ensuring memorable first and last impressions.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly on arrival and departure, creating a positive first impression.
• Maintain a visible, engaging presence in the lobby as a brand ambassador.
• Support valet operations, including luggage handling, room escorting and in-room orientation.
• Provide accurate information on hotel facilities, services, events and local attractions.
• Anticipate guest needs and personalise their stay.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints professionally and resolve them promptly.
• Assist the Front Office with check-in and check-out during busy periods.
• Keep public areas clean, organised and comfortable.
• Stay informed on daily events and local recommendations, and coordinate with other departments to follow up on guest requests.

Required profile

• Studying a bachelor's or master's degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Ability to sign a school agreement for a period of preferably 6 months.
• Fluent Spanish and English; additional languages are highly valued.
• Previous customer service experience or interest in upscale/luxury hotels is a plus.
• Proactive, energetic, empathetic team player who embraces SLS brand values.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
