Logistic Specialist

About the role

The Logistic Specialist reports directly to the Production Director and is responsible for end-to-end delivery performance. The role secures on-time delivery of equipment and spare parts to internal and external customers, while driving operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement across warehousing and logistics activities.

Key responsibilities

• Align processes within the local shipping team to global JBT Marel standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in shipping operations, productivity, carrier integration, service quality and delivery performance.
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions where needed.
• Monitor and support analysis of end-to-end delivery performance so KPIs are met.
• Analyze monthly freight costs, explain financial developments and approve carrier invoices.
• Ensure compliance with financial, customs and export regulations, including Export Registration, HS codes, Incoterms, country of origin and certificates.
• Manage outbound shipments of equipment and spare parts to sales offices, distributors, technicians and end customers by air, sea, rail, road and parcel.
• Support Procurement and Manufacturing on inbound logistics from external suppliers.
• Support the Global Logistics Director with logistics and supply chain improvement projects.

Required profile

• English at upper intermediate (B2) level or higher.
• Experience in logistics, shipping, transportation or supply chain operations is preferred.
• Strong commitment to principles, values and compliance.
• Able to work with people across functions and locations, and to handle several tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
• Logical, structured and organized, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
