Management Accountant – French Speaker

About the role

This position supports the French Finance team in Madrid, handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, financial reporting and basic analysis. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate records, timely month‑end closing and clear financial visibility for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager with the monthly closing process, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Prepare basic financial reports and analyses for the French Finance team.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Monitor expenses, track indirect spend and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Follow up on outstanding items such as accruals and invoices.
• Provide administrative and analytical support to finance and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with purchasing, sales and operations to ensure correct financial processing.
• Support audit preparation and respond to information requests.
• Attend finance meetings with the Country Leadership Team in a supporting capacity.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance or a related role (internships included).
• Fluent in English and French with strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to organise work, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, data organization).
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
