About the role
The Managing Director will lead the leisure and entertainment business unit across Iberia and selected international markets, driving revenue growth, strategic expansion and operational excellence for a leading European live‑entertainment company.
Key responsibilities
- Full ownership of the business unit P&L, ensuring strategic objectives, revenue targets and profitability are met.
- Define and implement long‑term business strategy, identifying new opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams.
- Lead high‑impact initiatives, support M&A assessments, joint‑venture negotiations and integration.
- Monitor market trends, audience behaviour and competitive dynamics to maintain a leading market position.
- Oversee operational delivery, drive process optimisation, and ensure cross‑functional collaboration with Finance, Marketing, Operations, Ticketing, Legal and HR.
- Establish performance metrics, reporting structures and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with external clients and partners, leading commercial negotiations and strategic partnership discussions.
- Drive innovation in audience engagement and fan experience concepts.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, partnering with Finance to strengthen reporting and controls.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, develop business cases and monitor KPIs, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Recruit, develop and lead high‑performing multidisciplinary teams.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in the entertainment or leisure sector.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of revenue growth and profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute long‑term business strategies.
- Experience managing P&L, budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive operational excellence.
- Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
