MAP Systems Internship – Discover II 2026/2027

About the role

Join Airbus for an 11‑month full‑time MAP Systems internship as part of the Discover II 2026/2027 graduate program. You will work on cutting‑edge predictive maintenance and knowledge‑mining projects for modern aircraft such as the A400M and LTA FAL, gaining hands‑on experience in the design, build, test and delivery phases.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process maintenance logs, flight data (ACARS/FMS) and technical documentation (AMM/SDM).
• Build data pipelines and clean datasets for AI/ML model training.
• Develop supervised, unsupervised and time‑series models to predict component failures.
• Design a Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) system that links AI predictions with aircraft documentation.
• Integrate solutions with Airbus data ecosystems, including SAP and A320/A350 tools.
• Validate models through pilot case studies (e.g., APU or landing‑gear failures).

Required profile

• Recent graduate in engineering, computer science, data science or a related field.
• Strong interest in aerospace, predictive maintenance and AI applications.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate technical results clearly.

Required skills

• AI/ML fundamentals and model development.
• Experience with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise data platforms.

What we offer

• Full‑time onsite experience (40 h/week) in Sevilla.
• Attractive study grant for the duration of the internship.
• Opportunity to work on real aircraft systems and collaborate with senior engineers.
• Access to Airbus training resources and a pathway to future graduate opportunities.
