Marmitón/a – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Marmitón/a will support the restaurant and kitchen teams at Barcelo Ponent Beach Hotel by ensuring all equipment, utensils and work areas are clean and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, cookware, machinery and work surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen floors, stoves and other equipment.
• Transport orders and materials within the kitchen and restaurant zones.
• Apply appropriate chemical detergents, disinfectants and rinses according to safety procedures.
• Follow company health, safety and hygiene policies at all times.

Required profile

• Mid‑level vocational training (Ciclo Formativo Grado Medio) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar kitchen or hospitality cleaning role is valued.
• No language requirement; basic hospitality knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team, manage time effectively and handle stress.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving attitude.

Required skills

• Operation of kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Use of chemical detergents and disinfectants.
