Master in Airframe Technology 2027 #MAIR2027 (Internship)

About the role

Join the exclusive Master’s in Airframe Technology (MAIR) programme, combining academic study with an 11‑month full‑time internship at Airbus facilities in Spain. You will work on real aerospace engineering challenges under the guidance of a company mentor while attending university lectures.

Key responsibilities

• Solve practical aerospace engineering problems, including airframe design, structural testing and digital mock‑up activities.
• Collaborate with Airbus engineers on finite element modelling, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses, and Checkstress assessments.
• Attend UC3M lectures (Monday‑Thursday evenings) and contribute to project work 35 hours per week on site.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (Master’s or Bachelor’s) in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Industrial, Civil Engineering or related fields.
• Advanced level of English; additional languages (Spanish, French, German) are a plus.
• Motivated, team‑oriented and able to take initiative on engineering projects.

Required skills

• Computer Aided Design (CATIA) – Digital Mock‑Up.
• Finite Element Modelling.
• Structural Tests and Mechanical Characterisation of Aeronautical Components.
• Checkstress analysis.
• Fatigue and Damage Tolerance assessment.
