Materiel Support Manager - A330 MRTT Fleet

About the role

The Materiel Support Manager will join the Derivatives Material Services Team within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. The role links Material Services with Programme Management to ensure operational readiness of the A330 MRTT fleet for international military customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Initial Part List (IPL), manage material repairs and replenishment for the A330 MRTT fleet.
• Act as the primary Material Services contact for In‑Service Support and Performance‑Based Logistics contracts.
• Drive end‑to‑end material issue resolution across planning, procurement, quality and logistics to meet milestone commitments.
• Steer financial performance (EBIT, revenues, budget) and define corrective actions for deviations.
• Coordinate Derivatives Material Services policies across local Airbus DS teams at customer air bases.
• Oversee risk management, governance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Services.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in materiel support, logistics, supply chain or procurement within complex engineering environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Required skills

• SAP (Logistics/Materials) proficiency.
• Supply chain operations expertise.
• KPI and performance‑management capabilities.
