Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing start‑up developing lightweight, adjustable robotic exoskeletons for rehabilitation. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will join the R&D team to create and refine mechanical components that meet strict weight, strength and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design parts and assemblies for exoskeleton prototypes under demanding performance constraints.
• Analyse existing designs and iterate through rapid design cycles.
• Perform engineering calculations and mechanical simulations to validate specifications.
• Develop and optimise manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Create, review and maintain technical drawings, blueprints and specification documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with complex mechanical designs that integrate sensors, motors and electronics.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Design for Manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
• Participation in university engineering projects such as Formula Student is a plus.
