Mechanical Engineer – Enclosure & Thermal Design

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer to join our fast‑growing mobility tech team. You will be responsible for designing and delivering high‑performance electronic enclosures and thermal solutions for next‑generation automotive connectivity platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 3D mechanical design of enclosures and product housings in SolidWorks, covering concept to design freeze.
• Create complete manufacturing data packages (2D drawings, STEP files, SVG/Illustrator assets) for sheet‑metal, CNC, extrusion and injection‑moulded parts.
• Perform thermal simulations with Ansys ICEpack and coordinate physical thermal testing, delivering reports and design recommendations.
• Integrate PCBs, connectors and custom electronic assemblies, conducting tolerance studies and feasibility analyses.
• Manage prototype build cycles, supplier interactions, component purchasing and DFM reviews.
• Support business development and trade‑show activities with visual content, demo‑stand design and on‑site assembly.

• Team player comfortable challenging supplier constraints and driving design improvements.
