Mechanical Engineer – Mechanical Design Projects

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Head of the Mechanical Department / Project Manager and will be responsible for delivering mechanical design projects that enable the assembly and installation of client‑required machinery. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate client specifications into detailed designs and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Capture client requirements and create preliminary machine designs using CAD software, including obtaining commercial references.
• Coordinate design interfaces with Electrical Designers and Automation Programmers.
• Participate in client meetings to validate preliminary designs.
• Develop detailed machining plans and manage subcontracting processes.
• Load breakdown plans and purchase orders into the management system for the Purchasing Department.
• Resolve technical queries from external workshops and internal mechanical assemblers.
• Update design documentation based on feedback from mechanical and electrical assembly teams.
• Prepare final delivery documentation, including plans, parts lists, spare‑part recommendations, and preventive maintenance plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design for machinery or industrial installations.
• Proficiency with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Solid Edge, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
• Experience producing comprehensive technical documentation.
