Medical Science Liaison – Neuroscience, Barcelona

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for its Neuroscience therapeutic area in Barcelona. The MSL acts as a scientific expert communicating with Leading Specialists on a peer-to-peer basis, helping to achieve the Medical Affairs plan's short- and long-term goals locally. The salary range is EUR 38,000 to EUR 60,950, depending on qualifications, experience and demonstrated skills.

Key responsibilities

• Keep up to date with medical and scientific knowledge, product updates, treatment trends and studies in the therapeutic area, and maintain a contact network with Leading Specialists.
• Communicate the medical benefits of products and represent the company in professional associations, while adhering to the approved Summary of Product Characteristics and avoiding promotional claims.
• Organise and take part in local and regional medical education and advisory boards, and give scientific support to sales representatives.
• Present scientific, objective data to payers and support pre-approval activities, such as speaker training.
• Support local company-sponsored studies, registries and non-interventional studies, propose investigators and sites, and take part in investigator meetings.
• Report adverse events, product quality complaints and special situations within one business day, and ensure inspection readiness and compliance with business integrity and pharmacovigilance rules.

Required profile

• Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical or Natural Sciences university degree, or a related qualification such as psychology.
• Deep knowledge of the therapeutic area and strong research and data interpretation skills.
• Relevant work experience, scientific acumen and/or communication skills that earn trust with Leading Specialists.
• Customer-focused, able to coordinate complex environments, and aware of Johnson & Johnson's Credo and business integrity standards.
