MGA Financial Accountant – Madrid (Hybrid)

About the role

Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets is seeking an MGA Financial Accountant to join its Madrid office. The position is full‑time with a hybrid working model (2‑3 days on‑site). You will be part of a finance team driving automation, process standardisation and supporting high‑profile transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end financial close for technical accounts and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and quality‑check bordereau data.
• Produce quarterly audit files, coordinate schedules and ensure proper documentation.
• Identify, improve and automate existing reporting processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Account and Financial Reporting team in the UK.
• Participate in finance‑wide projects such as the set‑up of new business streams.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the team and contribute to good conduct initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical background with experience in technical accounting or credit control.
• Previous exposure to the insurance industry.
• Advanced Excel skills, preferably with a Microsoft Excel certification.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to multitask in a team environment.
• Possession of, or willingness to pursue, an accounting qualification.
