Mid Android Developer

About the role

DKB Code Factory is building the mobile banking app for small and mid-sized businesses. As a Mid Android Developer in Valencia, you will help lay the technical foundation of a scalable, user-centric product using modern Android technologies, within a collaborative and curious team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android features in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose and MVVM architecture, keeping code clean, scalable and maintainable.
• Own well-defined features from refinement and implementation through testing and release.
• Integrate RESTful APIs with Retrofit and handle asynchronous operations with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Build reusable UI components and ensure consistent, intuitive and accessible user experiences.
• Write unit tests, take part in code reviews and improve code quality and application stability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues while considering performance, security and data privacy.
• Work with Product, Design, QA, Backend and other developers to turn requirements into reliable solutions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in native Android development with Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
• Ability to deliver features independently, troubleshoot issues and make sound technical decisions within an established architecture.
• Experience in Agile, cross-functional environments with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.

• Jetpack Compose, Android lifecycle components and MVVM architecture.
• Kotlin Coroutines, Flow and asynchronous state management.
• RESTful APIs with Retrofit or similar frameworks.
• JUnit, Mockito, Git and code review practices.
• Android UI guidelines, accessibility, performance and secure coding.
